FOCUS Mental Wellness 101 Class

SPECIAL SUMMER EDITION 

This LIVE weekly online class is specific to the needs of FOCUS Staff and Missionaries and will help you navigate your ministry on campus. Licensed Professional Counselor Catherine DiNuzzo has worked with FOCUS in various capacities especially in performing psychological evaluations for new staff hiring, speaking on campuses, financially supporting missionaries, counseling missionaries, and speaking at SLS in Phoenix 2020. 

Catherine knows what you are experiencing, thinking, struggling with, and needing. This course will help add essential tools to your bag not only for your own mental wellness, but for the students you work with on campus, and beyond 

The Content:

Special pricing is $100 for the entire course. All content will be given through the FOCUS lens and will cover topics such as: 

  • "The Biology of Anxiety"- What is anxiety? What happens in our bodies when we feel anxious? How can this knowledge help us overcome it?

  • How the pandemic is affecting our mental health and what you can do to support mental wellness at this time. (Suicide prevention and awareness will also be covered.) 

  • Tools to identify and fight the lies we tell ourselves and how to use that to help others do the same. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  • What are healthy boundaries and how do you make them? (Including fighting the dreaded "shoulds"​ and boundaries in male/female relationships.​​​​​

  • Knowing when to ask for help and knowing when and how to refer​​​​​​​​

  • Question and Answer segments​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The Dates:

Classes will last 60-minutes, starting at 3:00 pm CST on Thursdays in July 2002 (Dates: July 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th)
